Watercolors & More
Prints, Originals and Cards
I paint from nature using Windsor-Newton, Daniel Smith and other top brand pigments and paper. Most of my work is in watercolor, however sometimes I work in oil and acrylic.
My love of animals has found a wonderful expression in personalized pet portraits. It’s a joy to get to know each animal through the collaborative process.
I work in watercolors and ink for my illustration work. Favorite selections can be seen in my book, below.
Open for custom work. Please inquire below.
I teach at the CSULB OLLI program and the Alpert JCC, both online this year. See my Events calendar below for more details.
I’m also available for group and individual instruction, tailored to your skill level and needs.
I host a weekly FREE Zoom watercolor sketching workshop on Fridays from 4-5pm PST - registration is required.

About the Artist
Anne Kupillas is a Long Beach, California-based artist, working primarily in watercolor.
Born in 1968 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Anne's love of art began as a child growing up on Long Island, New York, in a family of artists and musicians who encouraged her creativity.
Her artwork is informed by freedom and movement, love of color, nature and the human form.
Anne's works have been showcased in two solo exhibitions in Florida and NYC. She is currently developing a joint exhibition in Long Beach, “Birds of a Feather,” at the Alpert JCC’s Gatov Gallery, and a solo exhibition of abstract landscapes.
Anne is a graduate of State University of NY's SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Arts, and has studied fine art and art history in New York, Washington DC, Northampton, England and California. Anne enjoys traveling and plein air painting, as well as studio work. She is a member of the Arts Council of Long Beach, and you can find her at many events in and around town. Anne's belief in "affordable art" is evident in her prints and her custom work, which are favorites with locals, visitors and collectors alike.
